016: noodles

The weather has been increasing awful lately. I love it. I love the rain and fog, and grey skied days. However, it's not the best when you want to take some photos in natural light.
Wednesday
On Tuesday, I finally got a package of one of the things I've recently bought off of eBay. Polka dot heart tights!! I used to own a pair that I bought from American Apparel, but I haven't seen them for some time now. I wasn't willing to buy another expensive pair that will be likely to rip, so I bought a pair of eBay for under $2 bucks! That's a steal in comparison to what I paid for the pair from AA.
Friday
I bought new work shoes on Friday. The current pair that I wear for work training were getting a bit uncomfortable for long hours. I usually bring flats, but sometimes I don't want to bring too many extra things if I don't have to. I bought these hoping that they will be something I wear often. I really like them, but I'm still waiting to be "in love" with them. I did like that they were flatforms (to give this short girl extra height) and something a bit unusual and less typical from what I already own. I really love the fact that they're maroon, which has been everywhere~

After work, I headed over to see my friend, Katie, who I've been to busy to see for a while. She made a few dresses and asked me to model them so she can take pictures for her online store. Check it out here!
Batman and Joker dress
We went out to Ajisen for ramen. It was well suited for such wonderful gloomy weather. I had the curry pork cutlet ramen and bubble tea, which was absolutely delicious~ Katie took a lot of crazy photos :D

015: it's easy to blame the weather

The weather was pretty awful today. Just another song title, too.

I went out yesterday to run some errands with my mum, which included buying new pants. I've lost a lot of weight this year, and it's come to the point were a lot of my clothes don't fit. It's easy to fudge sizes for dresses or tops, wearing a bigger size is no big deal. However, I now no longer have any pants that stay up on my hips without the help of a belt. It doesn't help that I haven't been able to find any of my belts. The skirt I'm wearing is actually quite loose on me now. It used to be snug and curve hugging.

Monday, errands with mum
Anyways, mom and I went to the H&M where I got the skinniest pleather pants. It's the one that Lana Del Ray is wearing in the promotional photos. I lamented over which colour to buy, black or burgundy, as if it were an existential crisis. I ended up getting the black since I could match it to everything I own, and figured if I lost sleep over the burgundy pants, I could always exchange it for the black or buy it. I need more pants anyways. I also picked up another pair of pants and a dress for my Halloween costume.

Figure hugging clothes~
I hit a bit of a fashion wall today, and ended up wearing the plain pants. It was pretty convenient. Pants today let me be lazy. My brother also gave me a cute hat I wore most of the day. Lazy, cozy wear is the best for fashion rut days~ It didn't help that the weather was awful.
Tuesday, lazy day

Hopefully, I'll be in a more dressy mood tomorrow.

014: zombie girl

Hey~ Another week between posts, lol. Pretty reckless of me, huh? I really enjoy posting, but lately, I've been short on time to just sit down and post something decent. Or well, I get pretty distracted. :P

Another song title, by the way. I've recently fallen in love with this band called Ghost Town. They're pretty underrated, but their songs are pretty wicked. If you like them, feel free to like them up on Facebook or support them on iTunes. I'd love to see them make more songs.

A little more on the personal side of my blog, I've been spending a lot more lately. I've been spending more in general since I've been financially well, but last week, I found myself purchasing things because I felt a bit down. They all happen to be things I wanted and I'm expecting to make use of in the future, but the rational side in me tells me I'm buying things that are excessive. Straight to the point, they're mostly things I can live without. I don't need new hair accessories or another dress. For the most part, I have more than enough of material possessions for myself. However, I really like the pieces that I've been buying, or they are things I can always use more of, such as socks.

I'm trying to reach an internal compromise and justify my spending by purchasing wardrobe "investments", aka things I will be sure to/make myself use in the future. So, essentially, it's okay to get something I like if I wear it. I'm also looking for things I will need later on in the season to fill the gaps in my wardrobe, such as, a new coat to replace my old, frumpy one, new pants since my old ones no longer fit, or lots more socks. My logic behind this is that once winter hits, I'm going to be freezing, so I'll need all this stuff to keep warm. W/e~

Cute and edgy accessories to pull together an outfit

On the topic of purchases, here's some of the junk I spent my money on. I bought two headbands from Topshop. I went for an interview with The Bay (one of the biggest and oldest Canadian department stores) last Thursday, and after said interview, I went to check out the Topshop store collab that they recently opened. I've got to say that it was a pretty nice layout. I'm also excited that I'll be able to make physical Topshop purchases~ Yay! They have some really nice pieces I'd consider buying for the winter. Maybe a coat?

Robot dood~
I also ran into this dapper fellow on Thursday when my friend was taking me home. Ain't he awesome?

I'm done talking, enjoy the rest of the outfit posts~

Wednesday
Thursday, interview day
Friday, work training
Sunday, family lunch

013: i'm a bee~

I haven't posted in almost a weeeeek~ Haha, how horrible of me. I've gotten quite busy this past week, running around and doing things. So, I haven't really gotten around to sitting down and making a new post.

I'm glad~ I find it's good to be busy. I've started a new job, too. Technically two jobs :P I'm training as a sales associate for a shoe store and the past week, I've been commuting to a friend's place to do some sewing. My friend lives in the next town over, so I actually had to take the train for the first time! Exciting~ (^▽^)~

Here are my outfits from the past few days.

Friday
Sunday
Monday
I wasn't to sure about my last outfit, the red plaid and grey skirt. Seeing it in pictures shows me that it wasn't really the best choice. I bought the skirt last year, but I've barely worn it. I can't really seem to match it with anything. (>_<") I'll keep trying and if I can't get a cute coordinate out of it, well, I'll give it away or something.

I've also been wanting to pick up the ukelele for one reason or another. I've been singing again. A lot of the songs have been cutesy pop-ish songs that have a ukelele in them. So, I dug up my brother's ukelele that he never used, only to find out that it's broken! (Q□ Q;;)~~ I tried to fix it, but it just didn't happen. I'll probably put aside some of the money I've been earning into getting it fixed.

012: hotel transylvania

I went to see Hotel Transylvania with my gal pals the other day. It was pretty good. Not entirely what I was expecting, but good :) I love Mavis though, and Adam Sandler as Dracula was hi-larious!
Movie outfit~
This is what I wore. I made the skirt. It's a bit too short, though ;) While out, I also picked up a few things.
Hot Topic haul~ +something from Sephora :P
Skeleton socks, get! I got my skeleton thigh highs! They're labeled as over the knee sock, but seeing how I'm Asian short, they are long enough to be thigh highs. I LOVE THEM~ I do wish they had a looser cuff, but other than that, I love them! I also got a plush bat keychain, glitter polish, false lashes, and BLACK LIPSTICK! (/^▽^)/

Black lipstick, get~ I've been looking for black lipstick for a while. I was considering getting the Make Up For Ever black lipstick, but the price point had kept me from actually buying it. (¬ะด¬。)
I knew Hot Topic had black lipstick on their website, but I never had any luck finding it in stores whenever I went. Until now~ So, I knew I had to buy it on the spot! It's a pretty decent lipstick for it's price, too.

My friend commented that I must have been influenced by the movie, because Mavis sports a black lip. Also, because I bought a bat~ Hahaha. I've been in a batty mood lately (●´∀`●)

I look quite goth~
I ended up wearing both the instant I got home~ I look so dark in all black attire. :P I also ended up wearing the socks today. I'll probably wear the lipstick out when I'm with friends. I'll feel a bit shy wearing it while running errands~
Bonus~

011: belated turkeysgiving

Hope everyone had a good weekend. Canadian Thanksgiving happened. Lots of us stuffed our faces, awesome. Not much of a post, just enjoy some image and outfit spam.

Friday
Hung out with my awesome guy friends on Friday. Tried something a little more funky, but we all agreed it ended up looking as we called it "Tokyo pop".

Weird facial expression and "odango" hair.
Creeper shot of the guys :P
I spent Sunday with my family for Thanksgiving. My awesome Grandma and Uncle gave me belated birthday money xD Everyone also kept commenting on how skinny I am. The skirt I wore was actually too loose on me. I had to pin down the waist to make it fit better.

010: around the fur

Sorry, title is a random song rip-off as I couldn't think of anything suitable. I've been running doing errands Monday and today. Tuesday, I got sucked into finishing my grandma's X-mas gift and Disney movies.

Monday's outfit
Wednesday's outfit

My outfits so far. I'm disappointed in myself because I struggled to apply my false lashes today. I guess I need more practice :P Speaking of lashes, I recently got some new lashes from a family friend. She's so sweet~

Lashes and socks~ <3

I also got socks c/o of my aunt. She spoils me dearly. I'm quite lucky that way. I can always rely on her for rides or food~ :3 She bought me a bunch of snacks~

That's also the little something I'm working for my grandma in the background.

Dinner~ Okonomiyaki and takoyaki~
Also, I saw this walking on Monday~ Yeah~ <3

I'm also seriously contemplating between which of these two skeleton sock to buy. I've been obsessed with skulls and skeletons lately. I find it really silly that I'm so serious and confused by which sock to buy. I should really just buy the cheapest one, hahaha. Silly Trish.

Whatever~ Well, it's been a long day, haha.

Goodnight~
