021: i want to do bad things with you (mini giveaway!)

Hey guys~ Can anyone guess the reference in the title?

Anyways, I've been running around like crazy with work. I haven't been taking many outfits due to my attire being all black. It's going to get boring really fast~
Wednesday
Wig~

I recently received a wig I ordered online back in October~ I was kind of disappointed when received it and it wasn't what I expected. It looks good in photos, but in person, the fibres are very cheap, thin and shiny. The wig isn't very thick and tangles very easily. I guess I got what I paid for, though~ I guess it's fine for simple photoshoots or something. Also, the outfit is something I wore to hang out with friends.

Recently, I've been working really close to the mall. It's great, but also a bit of a problem because on my break I might end up buying something :P I'm doing my best to keep them cheap or practical~ An extra black blouse to wear to work from Dynamite, some arm warmers from H&M for the in between Canadian weather and some Lush cuticle cream. The arm warmers were $2 each! I bought a couple and double of the black because I ended up really liking them.
I ran into a few good sales at work. Tuesday, I ended up buying the black Lord and Taylor cardigan because it was on sale~ I bought it for about 50% off on sale, including my discount. It's so luxurious! It's made of 100% merino wool and is softer than any of the sweaters I currently own. I'm a sucker for wool, and the style of the sweater is just perfect! I know I will wear this often, whether I'm working or going out, so it's worth every pretty penny~
The socks I'm wearing above were also BOGO sale at my work. I had been secretly coveting them for a while, so I took advantage of the sale. They also came in robin's egg blue and bubblegum pink!

On that same Tuesday, they opened up the new Eaton Centre Sephora location! I foolishly went in to take a look at the new setup, only to walk out with a Shu Uemura lash curler. As soon as I saw they now carried Shu Uemura, I couldn't stop myself from buying the lash curler~ I'd heard so many good things about it, and had been secretly coveting it for a year now! I also received a free tote with my purchase~ Very much worth it. :)

Working also tempts me into buying lots of food! Everyday at work, I pass by a lovely displays of sweets~ I caved in over the week and bought a slice of Black and White cake. The gentleman serving the food cut me an incredibly large slice! I couldn't finish it in one sitting and ate it for "breakfast" the next day.
Speaking of breakfast, I ended up eating the cupcakes I bought yesterday~ That's adult lyfe~ I learned, though, that I have a way of getting them for free! Hahahaha, hacked the system :P

020: it's a pretty hectic time of year

Hi everyone. Once again, I'm irresponsibly blogging at abnormal people hours, lol. I've recently been working a seasonal sales position and let me tell you, it gets craa-uh-zaay. Ya.
Although, I have to say, I GOT MY SWEATER!! My coveted Topshop sweater! I got a discount at Topshop, so on Wednesday I picked up one to the last J. W. Anderson x Topshop bat sweaters I'd been drooling over since September. I also picked up a dress for work which I wore today and got a few compliments on. The spike hairband I bought off eBay also came in on Wednesday~ It really made my morning. :3
Now that I got that out of the way, have my outfits~ It's a lot of black due to the fact that it's what I'm required to wear at work, so I may consider not posting my all black outfits as they will probably repeat after a while.
Sunday
Tuesday. I got home, tired~
Wednesday

Thursday, went out with a friend~
I didn't take a photo of today's outfit, since I ran late this morning and changed straight into comfy clothes~ Hopefully, I'll get more time to do another quick post~

019: current skincare routine

For mostly my own benefit, I've decided that I'll post up my skincare routine. I've been having slight breakouts lately. Nothing too major, just a small zit here or there.

My main skin concerns are acne scarring and light eczema. I'm still young, so I don't worry about wrinkles. I do have combination skin which is sensitive to allergies. I take special care so my skin doesn't get dry and inflamed due from the eczema, especially when I get sick.

My usual skin care routine is very simple, however, the products tend to change. This is my skincare care routine with my current facial products.

For mornings, I wash my face with St. Ives Naturally Clear Green Tea Cleanser using warm water. I rinse my face again with cold water, then follow up by moisturizing with Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion. The Aveeno lotion is a daily body lotion that my family has been using for years~ I double it as a face lotion because I find it's very bland and does not irritate my face unlike some facial moisturizers. My brothers also suffer from sensitive skin and use Aveeno, so my household keeps it well stocked.

For evenings, I add little more than my morning routine. I currently remove my make up with L'Oreal Gentle Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover. I plan to talk more about it in an upcoming post about makeup removers :) Once I remove as much of my makeup and eye make as possible, I wash my face with warm using the same cleanser that I use in the morning. I follow that up by using St. Ives Blemish and Blackhead Control Apricot Scrub. I rinse again with cold water and moisturize again with Aveeno Lotion.
On the occasions that my skin gets irritated or I suffer from an eczema flare up, I drink plenty more water than I usually drink. I skip the scrub in the night if my eczema is particularly bad. I also apply extra virgin coconut oil or a topical cream prescribed by my doctors to any of the irritated, dry flaky patches at night.

That's basically my skincare routine~ If you suffer from eczema, I hope knowing what I do to treat mine might help you with yours. :)

018: hotpot weather

Monday, my family and I got to do something we haven't done in a while. A hotpot!
With the weather just getting colder and colder, dad and I decided it was time to finally have a hotpot. For those of you who don't really know what a hotpot is, it's kind of like an Asian version of fondue, but it's a soup with noodles and veggies and other stuff like that. We had pork balls, fish balls, rice cakes, buk choy, udon noodles, dumplings, and fried tofu. (✪◡✪)~
Haha, mum is updating her FB

Some outfit posts from the rest of the week. Nothing too particular happened, went out with friends, work, and attempted to be productive.
Last Saturday, family dinner for my cousin's bday
Sunday, work

You can also see I wore out the clip-in bangs I bought. There's a slight difference in shine and color. I have jet black hair and the bangs are natural black. I'm going to try to dye them and see if it will make a difference. (●ω●;;)
Thursday, Crowley's shirt and devil doodleband 3:)

017: the addams family

I guess it's about time for a weekly recap? I'm finally forcing myself to sit down, haha~

Sunday, I spent it with my family for a bit, and then trekked over to Katie's place in order to drop off some of my fabric and be a little productive. I ended up staying the night, and got a bit sick D: I changed my outfits twice because I was indecisive that way :P

Monday, I spent the day sick and sewing part of a cute dress. Not finished as of yet. I still need to get a zipper, lol.
Tuesday~
Tuesday was a long day. I had to run around for some more work training. Ran into a few people, it was fun. A fairly casual outfit. I wore boots instead of my flatforms. Also rocking out my new fave pair of pants~

I live on a street called Adams and it was Wednesday :P

I still wasn't feeling so well on Wednesday/Halloween, but I threw together a quick Wednesday Addams costume to get an Arizona tea at my closest convenience store.
Topshop get~
Thursday~

Thursday, I woke up from another bad dream and the morning started off pretty badly. Things started to turn around after getting my Topshop order in the mail~ I got the devil horn doodle headband I've been lusting over for months now. I've been seeing similar headbands worn in Popteen and by various bloggers. When I saw that Topshop had a pair, I knew I wanted to get a pair~ I also added some cute socks to my order since I felt it would be silly to just have one thing shipped from the UK and it really can't hurt to have a lot of cute socks~ (*´・ω・)

My best friend then called to ask if I wanted to go with him to Pacific Mall. We browsed a lot of shops I didn't remember seeing. I was also surprised they opened a Holika Holika store. Holika Holika is a well-known Korean cosmetic and beauty brand. I've been interested in trying their stuff and after browsing through the store, I might consider going back to try a few items. They have a fairly reasonable and affordable price point. I picked up both the small eyeshadow brush and make-up starter for around 10 bucks. I was looking for a finer eyeshadow brush for a while now, so I picked it up at Holika Holika when I saw it. I also picked up a fake fringe to try as I've been tempted to cut myself some bangs. There's a lot of stuff to see and food to eat at Pacific Mall. Hopefully, my friends ans I will be able to make another trip there soon.
I guess that's it for now. Hopefully, I will do a review soon. :3
